Frequently Asked Questions
Below, we try to address the questions we hear most often.  Please read this and let us know if we have missed anything!

1.  How do I know if Prowood is accepting team members for sponsorship?
----- Prowood will post NOW SPONSORING announcements on the Prowood Fingerboard Team page on our webiste.  Find all the latest team news!  IIf you are interested in joining our team, you will find all the information you need such as current contests, and whether or not we are accepting video applications and what to do if we are accepting submissions.

2.  Will Prowood send me a free fingerboard or free tape?
----- No, Prowood will NOT send free boards or tape. On our website, we sell boards at a fair price, as low as $14.  We sell our Pro-tape in a pack of 4 for $8. We believe that our prices are reasonable and that anyone can save enough money to purchase a board if you are willing to save and plan for it.  If we just give our boards away, we will very soon be out of business. 

3,  How much do you charge for shipping?
----- WE SHIP OUR FINGERBOARDS FREE WORLDWIDE.  We do charge a surcharge of $4 for shipping our tee-shirts internationally.   

4. Where will you ship?  Will you ship to Denmark or Japan or Singapore?
-----  We will ship ANYWHERE in the world!


5.  If I want you to print a graphic that I design, what do I do?
-----  Place your order on our website and using the drop down box on the order page select, 'Send Us Your Own Graphic'.  Then send us your graphic via an email attachment to us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  We will work with you to ensure we meet your needs when we create your custom board. Be sure to send your graphic in the jpeg (.jpg) format.

6.  Will Prowood create a custom graphic for me?
-----  Our Graphic Library has over 40 boards that we can custom create for you.  If you would like any other graphic, you can send us your own to our email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .


7.  What format must I use to send you my graphic? 
-----  Be sure you file is in a jpeg (.jpg) format.  You should be sure your graphic will fit on our boards which are 96mm (approximately 4") long and range from 26-30m wide (~1").


8.  How long will it take to make my board?
-----  As we custom create each fingerboard to your specifics, please allow time for us to create your fingerboard.  We usually are able to ship out your custom board in 3 -5 days.  More complex designs do take more time.  Of course, after we make your board, we must allow time for shipping too.  See below.

9.  I live in the US.  How long will shipping take?
-----  After you allow 3-5 days for us to custom create your order, you must also allow time for shipping.  Shipping time averages anywhere from 3-5 days, but can take longer during the holiday seasons. 
 

10.I live outside of the US.  How long will shipping take?
-----  Shipping times outside of the United States vary greatly.  On average, boards will arrive 8-15 days.  In some instances, orders may be slowed by customs and can take three weeks or so to arrive.  In other cases, boards ship quickly and can arrive in as early as 5 working days.

Note:  We have found that shipping times to Italy, on average, do take longer than shipping to other European countries.  Our average ship time right now is about 3-4 weeks. If you order from Italy, please be patient.

Note:  We have found that shipping to some parts of Canada take longer than shipping to other parts of the world too.  Please allow 3 weeks (on average) for your Canadian order to arrive.

11.  How can I pay for my order?
-----  We accept Paypal for payment on our website.  Paypal accepts all major credit cards. 

12.  Can I pay with a credit card?
-----  Yes, our website will direct you to pay for your order via Paypal.  Paypal will accept major credit cards for tender.

13.  Can I pay with a money order or certified check?
-----  Yes, you can send a money order or certified check to our address at P.O. Box 509, Palmyra, Indiana 47164. We will ship your board after your payment clears.


14.  Will my board come with Pro-tape?
-----  Yes, all boards are shipped with one piece of Pro-tape.


15. Will my Complete Fingerboard come assembled?
-----  Completes will arrive UN-ASSEMBLED.  However, we will be GLAD to assemble your complete order if you notify us.  Email your preference to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it AFTER you place your order. If you want us to apply your Pro-Tape, please be sure to indicate that too! 


16.  How do you make your fingerboards?
-----  We have an entire page of our website that discusses all the specifics of how we make our boards.  Please read 'About Our FingerBoards'.


17. How do you apply the graphics to your boards?
-----  We digitally print our graphics on the bottom ply of your board.  We then apply 8-10 coats of clear lacquer to ensure your graphic will be well protected.


18.  Why don't you finish the Top Ply of your boards?
-----  We DO finish the Top Plys of our boards and apply clear lacquer to help protect your board.  However, since you will most likely cover your board with some sort of Grip tape, like our Pro-tape, we won't put the same 8-10 coats of clear lacquer on the board as the board will be protected by your tape.


19. How long have you been making Fingerboards?
-----  We have been making fingerboards since 2008.  You can read all about our history and our family on our website on the About Us page.


20.  Do you sell ramps?  Other things?
-----  As we continue to grow, we will are looking to expand our product line. Someday soon we hope to carry a full line of wheels, trucks, ramps, and other obstacles.
